MAY 4th, 2019: Berlin & Prague. Producer and veteran DJ Selectress Iriela is taking the party to Europe and she blames it on the boogie. Sunset Boogie. A special SunRISE Boogie is on tap for the incredible underground staple - the former factory with a festival vibe: Club Sisyphis Berlin on May 4th and the incredibly dark and funky Cross Club of Prague on May 6th!

Joining Selectress Iriela we find Mr. Walter Glasshouse from the D representing on the 1's and 2's! Also in store for music lovers of Berlin and Europe as a whole we are thrilled to have Jake the Rapper with us for the Sisyphos Berlin date.

A seasoned DJ and radio personality since 1996, Iriela currently runs / rocks several popular events across New York City, from “Bushwick A/V”, to “Global Groove”, to the 45-centered night, “1978”. Selectress Iriela regularly plays with artists such as DJ Spinna, Louie Vega, Francois K, Tony Touch and many more. Iriela who can regularly be heard nationally on Sirius XM, served as Kingston Entertainment Correspondent for IRIE FM Jamaica and began her career on air at 88.9FM WERS Boston in 1996. Her deep house track “No Sleep (Till NYC)” debuted at #4 on the Traxsource AfroHouse Essentials. Walter Glasshouse is an underground curator of the Detroit scene with over a decade of events produced and played. Working with such artists as Omar-S, Roger Sanchez, T-1000, Delano Smith, Jake The Rapper, The Stanton Warriors and Marcellus Pittman. His last tour brought him to Germany, The Czech Republic and France where he played alongside Carl Craig, Underground Resistance, and Derrick May at Festival Les Escales in Saint Nazaire. His forthcoming EP “Activate” is set to release in late 2019.

Jake the Rapper is a well-known and vital fixture in the Berlin party scene, who quickly developed into a sort of lovable, eccentric, deep house legend on the decks across Europe. He tours incessantly, spreading his special eclectic but funky blend of music and his joyful vibes. Now he is a resident and has his studio in Kater Holzig. In Berlin, Jake plays regularly in Watergate, Arena, Ritterbutzke, Wilde Renate, and his productions include now classics like "Hollow Inside" and "Less Talking".

Premier House Music DJ and Event Promoter Bruce Bailey IS original Detroit Royalty. Everyone knows his name and you haven’t really gotten your dance vibe on if he didn’t provide the music backdrop. That’s because house music is his rhythmic heart beat and passion of his soul. It is what drives him and motivates his commitment to his art.

Mild-mannered and die-hard Detroiter Bruce Bailey has been putting it in and getting it done since his vinyl collecting youth days of the 80s. As the city was embracing and celebrating the emerging gritty techno sound, Bailey was perfecting his ear for the sound, honing his gift, and building a loyal following. In marketing his brand through an elevated local presence, Bailey quietly but ever so presently transcends his career through limitless opportunities as a DJ, Event Promoter, Lifestyle Influencer, and Entrepreneur.

Sunset Boogie Event Series Kicks Off at Analog BKNY!

A new globally roving dance party hits Brooklyn featuring DJs and performers in the funk, soul, disco, electronic, house and an array of dancefloor Diasporas.

BROOKLYN, New York: (Second World Productions) – Sunset Boogie is a multi-genre soulful dance party taking place the third Sunday each month at Brooklyn club, Analog BKNY. Resident DJ Selectress Iriela curates a vinyl centric mix of dance floor classics alongside modern ear candy featuring guest DJs and occasional live performers. Expect everything from soul power classics to funk anthems – but most of all expect the unexpected. The venue itself fittingly boasts a purely analog sound system, so the boogie commences May 21st with doors at 6pm until 12am at Analog BKNY located at 177 Second Avenue in Brooklyn NY.

Selectress Iriela is a DJ, producer and filmmaker who launched her career in 1996 spinning reggae on “Rockers,” the acclaimed reggae program created by MTV/VH1’s Doug Herzog on 88.9FM WERS Boston. Iriela has since worn hats of festival producer of her own modern remix of the Live Aid festival, Culture Fest International, as a filmmaker of the epic “Reggae Revolution,” and as a performer / producer in the international deep house scene with “No Sleep (Till NYC)”. Iriela has opened for stars ranging from Burning Spear to Ethiopian songbird Aster Aweke, was recently a guest on the Arsenio Hall Show, and has a forthcoming film series debuting on behalf of her social good tech company Second World combining talents of Ali Shaheed Muhammad of A Tribe Called Quest, Amp Fiddler and Lady Starlight.

Dante Ross is a music industry executive, A&R representative, and Grammy Award winning producer named one of the top-25 greatest A&R representatives in hip hop by Complex magazine. Dante had his first role at Def Jam/Rush in the late 1980s and is the architect of entire segments of the golden era of hip hop, constructing both Tommy Boy Records and Elektra Records’ rosters working with the likes of De La Soul and signing Queen Latifah, Brand Nubian, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Leaders Of The New School, KMD, Del The Funkee Homosapien, among others. Legendary tales abound from Mr. Ross, and he has the epic record collection to prove it – expect to sample a small taste of it on May 21st at Sunset Boogie.

Joey Carvello is a first-generation disco DJ, executive producer, and tastemaker. Just four years after he launched his career, in 1978 he won "Billboard Magazine Disco DJ of the Year Award” and went onto become the Music Director of KISS 108FM, the first 24 hour major market strictly disco station. As Atlantic Records’ Director of Dance Music, Joey signed, Executive Produced and promoted the likes of Little Louie Vega (Masters At Work), Mark Anthony, Robin S., Bingoboys, En Vogue, Doug Lazy, and Jellybean Benitez. Joey joined Priority Records as VP of Top 40 Promotion where he worked with several artists including Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube. A Mobile Mondays! resident since 2011, Joey has opened for numerous acts including The O'Jays, The Trammps, The Village People, and The Three Degrees.

Analog BKNY is powered by the globally awarded audio system, the SBS Slammer, designed by Craig Bernabeu the sonic architect of the legendary Manhattan nightclub Twilo and Montreal’s revered Club Stereo.
